The Ask:
Work with a team to design, merchandise, and market a mock collection for Crescala Collective based on the concept of messaging
Our Focus
To create clothing meant to be worn, cherished, and lived in—embracing the belief that beauty does not fade with time but deepens, much like smile lines or the creases in a favorite pair of leather boots.
We interpreted the theme of messaging by celebrating the evolution of garments alongside the bodies that wear them, allowing each piece to become a storyteller that carries the marks, memories, and experiences of its journey.

Ideation
After deciding to design a spring 2027 womenswear collection, we deliberated thematic inspirations and possible interpretations of the theme messaging.
The Collection name, “Patina”, encapsulated our theme the beauty of time, wear, and change.
Evolution of Sketches
For the initial design phase, each team member independently sketched five looks, resulting in a total of 30 concepts. Together with our advisor and creative director, we reviewed the designs and selected eight looks to further develop.
We then refined and standardized key design elements across the collection to ensure cohesion, versatility, and mix-and-match functionality.
Once the designs were finalized, the creative team translated the original pencil-and-tracing-paper sketches into digital illustrations, and members across the team collaborated to create the technical flats in Adobe Illustrator.
